Course Benefits
Membership of the Gas Safe Register is a legal requirement for any installer wishing to carry out gas work in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey. To register as a domestic gas installer, you must hold Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) plus certification for the appliances you intend to work on.
Further Information
Assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations. The course requires both in college environment (with the schedule decided by the training provider) plus ‘on the job’ training with candidates providing work-based evidence under the supervision of a Gas Safe registered installer. Your Gas Foundation Certificate will allow you to undertake the ACS gas assessments, providing entry at category 2.
